Introducing the Transition Patrol Carbon

· By Press Office · 9 comments

The Patrol Carbon is the highly anticipated premium option to our well regarded aluminium Patrol. All the great features of the aluminium Patrol with a large reduction in weight and no compromise in strength. The carbon front triangle, seatstays and chainstays provide a crisp and responsive ride with excellent trail feel.

Featuring all the same geometry and GiddyUp suspension the Patrol Carbon is even more capable up and down mountains. The fully guided internal cable routing for rear brake, derailleur and seatpost are easy to use and rattle free. The collet main pivot keeps the rear end stiff and the threaded bottom bracket is a mechanics dream. With around a 600 gram weight savings over the aluminium Patrol the Patrol Carbon climbs like an E-bike, and descends like a downhill bike.

Design features

ccs-62657-0-35149200-1452689489.jpgThe W.T.F. process used on the Patrol Carbon utilizes the highest grade carbon materials and EPS molding process, providing increased stiffness and strength at one of the most competitive weights in it’s class.
ccs-62657-0-58622100-1452689489.jpgThe Patrol Carbon uses the proven Giddy Up Linkage shared across the entire Giddy Up line.
ccs-62657-0-78191700-1452689489.jpgThe P.A.B.S.T. system provides room for a variety of hydration storage systems, container sizes and fluid choices.
ccs-62657-0-03494500-1452689490.jpgThe BBS2 system utilizes a standard Euro threaded 73mm bb shell for ease of BB compatibility, installation and maintenance. Euro threaded BB shells are creak free and the most common industry-wide shell standard.
ccs-62657-0-25834300-1452689490.jpgThe T.I.T.S. internally guided cable system ensures a rattle-free ride, ease of assembly and maintenance. The fully guided tubes eliminate the need for fishing cables when routing brake, derailleur and seatpost cables.

The Patrol Carbon also includes our Huck To Flat technology. All Transition Bikes must surpass the rigorous H.T.F. test cycle before being introduced to the public.

Many words apply. None of them fit for publication on a family friendly forum...

i had to chuckle and nod my head wrt that comment about "... the oddest chainslap quirk..." I probably had that same confused look on my face trying to figure why this thing slaps so noisily sometimes, despite the chainstay guard and a clutched rear mech.
