Imagine a light weight, low-profile helmet with aerodynamic efficiency that rivals a time trial design and also provides awesome cooling power. A synthesis of the performance benefits you want, every time you line up to race, train or ride. Now, you can have those benefits in a single helmet, the Synthe.

The Synthe’s aerodynamic efficiency is a breakthrough in vented helmet design. Our extensive wind tunnel testing, using wind averaged drag calculations to assess performance in a wide range of conditions, reveals that the Synthe is nearly as fast as time trial helmets in a standard “road” position, without compromising the cooling power your body needs for maximum power output. That cooling power is immediately apparent on the road, besting our test results and nearly matching the temperatures recorded for a bare headform over 30 minutes.

Even with all of this performance, weight is an impressive 250 grams for a size medium CPSC compliant Synthe, making it a great choice when you ’re battling for KOM’s or a personal best at the summit.

Arguably one of the best helmet that will be on sale in ZA.

But with that price-tag, you might as well get the Giro Air-attack and still get some spare change left...

If you have a 1 dollar head, you buy a 1 dollar helmet.

R4000 is a lot but how much is your head worth.

That air attack might not be the best choice during the summer heat. I think the Synthe is a better aerodynamic compromise, but that price! yoikes.

That might be a valid argument if a helmet for R2k was sub standard at protecting your head. This is not going to protect your head any better than one half of its price.

I guess my prevail is not as effective in protecting my head it only cost 1800. I wonder what extra protection il get for 2k more.

I am sorry but with this argument they should charge more for a helmet than your bike. You must be any bikeshop's dream customer

Butt ugly, unimaginative styling (looks like the P*ss Pot LeMond wore in the late 80's early 90's and stupidly expensive for no extra features or safety.

its just another symbol of how greedy the sport of cycling has become

think all helmets have to fulfill/go through the same safety requirements.. so in theory you'll get same protection as a cheap helmet. But someone has to pay for the marketing
