The BMC Fourstoke is a 100mm travel dual suspension cross-country and marathon bike. The front triangle of the 02 model is carbon while the rear triangle is made from aluminium tubing. As the name suggests, the 02 XT is kitted out with Shimano’s XT level drivetrain and brakes. Fox handles the suspension with a 32 Float Performance fork and Float EVOL Performance shock. The wheels are a set of DT Swiss X1700 Spline Two wrapped in Onza Canis rubber.

Specialized Women’s Andorra shorts

Specialized Women’s Andorra shorts seek to be functional while still providing performance on the trails. We have two specification levels on review: the Pro and Comp.

Both shorts feature VaporRize fabric which is said to be tough and water resistant while remaining light and stretchy. The Pro shorts have further perforated areas to assist with cooling. Waist adjustment allows riders to fine tune fit. The shorts are designed to reach the knee area with space for light padding.

The Comp shorts have back and side pockets while the Pro shorts use a removable liner with SWAT compartments built in for storage. These liner compartments are easily accessible through the pockets of the Pro shorts. In addition, the Pro short liner has undergone the Body Geometry treatment and are designed with the specific needs of women in mind. The Comp shorts do not come with a padded inner liner.

The Pro shorts are available in black and turquoise for R1,999. The Comp shorts colours are carbon and neon coral and retail for R1,199.

Sox Footwear

Sox Footwear are a locally manufactured sock brand. The socks utilise Dri-Fast fibre technology for moisture management. They have reinforced heels and toes, a breathable mesh top, non-slip leg sleeves and a pressure point pad on the ball of the foot.

CAM riding kit

New to SA we don’t yet know much about the CAM brand other than that the garments are made in Europe.

We’ve got the CAM Tuffle jersey and Gji Gji Elite bib for the men while on the women’s side we’re testing the CAM Dini Elite jersey and Tweeg Elite shorts. We’re looking forward to seeing how well this kit performs on the bike.

The CAM range is currently available online at Chris Willemse Cycles here.

Cam possible standing for CHRIS and MELANI? because they have wheels under that name also. Been wondering iff it is CWC's house brand.
