The Leverage Corporation have announced the postponement of the Great Kei Trek and the Cradle Mountain Trophy in light of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Great Kei Trek
As Covid-19 takes its toll on business activity, especially in our industry, we would like to update you on the latest developments. The Great Kei Trek, scheduled to have taken place from the 30th of April to the 2nd of May will have to be postponed.
Given the current situation we find ourselves in, we do so for the greater good of our stakeholders, namely our riders, and the communities in which we operate.
Our new dates are now scheduled to take place from Friday the 7th of August to Sunday the 9th of August. (Sunday is National Women’s Day, so Monday will be a holiday; meaning you only have to take 2 days leave – Thursday and Friday)

Cool Ideas Cradle Mountain Trophy
The Cool Ideas Cradle Mountain Trophy would be 11 years old this year. Organizers had planned to host it on the 4th and 5th of April.
Sadly, yet for the greater good of our stakeholders, namely our athletes, we have had to postpone the 2020 Cool Ideas Cradle Mountain Trophy to a later date. We have received communication and have consulted with the various authorities and have taken their recommendations and guidelines into account before making this decision.
To borrow a quote from Dr Christoforos Anagnostopoulos, an Honorary Senior Lecturer at Imperial College London:
Our new dates are now scheduled for later in the year. We are now going to stage the 11th edition of The Cool Ideas Cradle Mountain Trophy on the weekend of 24th and 25th of October at Happy Acres, just outside of Magaliesburg and down the road from Maropeng. And if you are planning on doing the Kap Sani2C in December, this date will fit perfectly into your training schedule.
