Versus Virtual Ride

· By Press Office · 79 comments

After hosting two successful Versus Virtual Runs in the past three months, it is time to step into the virtual cycling space. With over 14,000 participants in the first virtual run and 16,000 participants in our second, we are expecting some 10,000 cyclists to get out on their bikes on 25 July.

All cyclists are welcome to enter the virtual ride and be part of something big on 25 July, with thousands of other cyclists across the globe.

We are also very happy to announce our event partners: Giant, Garmin, Bike Hub, and Ciovita.

How do I enter?

Entry is completely free. There are more than R90,000 in prizes (detail below) to give away in the event lucky draw.

  • You can simply enter on our website
  • Ride a minimum of 20km on 25 July 2020 (Both indoor and outdoor rides are included)
  • Upload the ride to your STRAVA profile and we will automatically pull it through to our results page

So get your entries in to win.

Lucky draw prizes to be won:

  • Giant Bicycles: TCR ADVANCE 1 DISC KOM 2020 worth R43,000
  • Garmin: 3 X Garmin 130 Plus worth R4,300
  • Ciovita: 6 X R3,000 vouchers
  • Versus Socks: 9 X hampers worth R500
  • Bonus Prize: The ultimate Virtual ride hamper worth R10,000

This is an exciting project for the Versus Socks Team and we can’t wait to see you on STRAVA on 25 July 2020.

Please spread the word and have fun on race day!

I'm getting ready to upload .fit file to Strava Manually through a PC, seriously doubt the servers will be back online today.

Entered. Will be pulling 3 kids along for 20km tomorrow.

So if GC is still down, how long will we have to upload the file directly to strava?

Not sure but I'm planning on tracking my ride directly on the Strava app on my phone.

20km+ Zwift ride for me, that goes directly to Strava at least.

always thought this was a Zwift race when I saw it pop up in various places, never looked into it.

I've entered, may just add a few extra km to my commute tomorrow or just go out after work and do a ride, will see how I feel in the morning.

I was feeling knackered on the ride home last night, so the plan was to take the next couple of days off the bike completely, so wont be doing both for sure.

decided to not ride.

Its only 20km, but I know me, I won't take it easy, and the way I've been feeling the last 2 days its better to listen to my body.

Only 4000 odd entrants so far, those are pretty good odds!

I was pretty impressed, was painless and quick and a kiff online vibe and got my certificate quickly.

Well done to Versus again.
