The Motorlease Group launched BH Bicycles in South Africa with the grand opening of their first local BH Bicycles Concept Store. The store is situated at 228 Main Road, Diep River, Cape Town, alongside Motorlease’s automobile and motorcycle showrooms.

The BH Concept Store displays BH’s road, mountain and electric bikes in an appealing aesthetic environment where the displays’ clean lines ensure that the bicycles are the focal point of the store. From the eye catching Lynx 4.8 Carbon 29er 9.9, to the G6 Pro Ultegra Di2 and the top selling BH Neo 29er E-Bike the mainstays of the BH stable are on display. But two bikes Motorlease Group Director Ray Wilson is particularly excited about are still hidden from prying eyes.

The BH G7 Disc has not yet landed in SA and it’s a bike Wilson believes will prove exceptionally popular on the local road market. With disk brakes incorporated into a progressive aerodynamic carbon frame optimised for exceptional handling it’s a bike that’ll fly up the toughest climbs, slice through the air on the flats and offer riders the confidence of disk brake stopping power for bombing down mountain passes. The BH G7 Disc is ready to race!

The other bike which Wilson can’t wait to see out in local races is the BH Ultimate 29er Carbon 9.9, a race ready carbon hard tail ridden by the BH SR Suntour KMC Team in the UCI MTB World Cup. In its full race day set-up the Ultimate 29er weighs in at a feather light 9kg, making it the ideal weapon for XCO and endurance racers. Keep an eye out for the BH Ultimate 29er Carbon 9.9, piloted by BH South Africa’s Aaron Adler in a race near you.

For the local mountain biking fraternity the BH Lynx range should prove exceptionally popular, with carbon and aluminium models to choose from. The Lynx frame features a slightly different ‘split pivot’ rear suspension layup – which incorporates a floating shock for a bottomless suspension feel, 120mm of travel front and rear, and 68° head tube angle – to maximise the fun going downhill.

The mainstay of the local distribution of BH Bicycles for the last year has been the electric Easy Motion bikes, and the range will by no means be overshadowed by the introduction of BH’s road and MTB offerings. BH South Africa will continue to supply Easy Motion bikes, from the top selling Neo 29er, to the Evo Jumper Dual Sus MTB 29er and the 500 watt Nitro 29er E-Bike.

The Motorlease Group have utilised their motor vehicle retail contacts and have secured a financing partnership with ABSA, meaning you will be able to apply for finance to purchase your dream BH Bicycle in store at the BH South Africa Concept Store.
