Held on Wednesday the 29th of March, in association with the Galileo Open Air Cinema, organisers couldn’t have asked for a more perfect setting or a better turnout.

“A premiere is always nerve racking as naturally you have high expectations for how you want the event to go – especially with regards to the location,” said Festival Director James Hallett.

“Fortunately for us though, the weather was phenomenal and the venue even more so, with the highlight for us definitely being the turnout and support from the local mountain bike community.”

Recognised as South Africa’s leading online cycling portal, Bike Hub are 100 percent connected to this ever-growing community and this was echoed in the strong attendance at the premiere event.

“Bike Hub’s success is largely thanks to the strength of our online community, and the Trails In Motion Mountain Bike Film Festival provides an excellent opportunity to engage and build community in the real world environment, which is why the partnership between our brands just makes so much sense,” said Matt Eagar, Founder of Bike Hub.

“Although we consume so much mountain biking media on our small screens, there’s something special about watching some epic MTB films on the big screen with your mates and some good food under the stars,” exclaimed Eagar.

“Leaving the venue I encountered numerous groups of friends excitedly sharing moments from the films and already planning their own adventures. That’s what it’s all about!”
