The Isuzu Trucks PE PLETT 4 Day stage race has a whole new offering with the introduction of a LITE Category. The Tough One will still challenge the field of 200 riders and the LITE with an average of 60km’s per day has got a mixed bag of the best MTB routes on offer without the pain and suffering.
The start at Kurland Polo fields on Day 1 has the tar passes of Bloukrans, Grootrivier and all the beauty of Cape Pine forests with plenty of Jeep and Single track.
Day 2 from Tsitsikamma falls Adventures to Soloko Game Reserve near the R62 town of Kareedouw is an adventure of note with great climbs over the Tsitsikamma range and Suuranys mountains. Elevation for the LITE is just over 1000m and the route is mostly private farm roads and jeep track.
Day 3 to our brand new village at Suurbron built by local farmer Jacques Steenkamp is a beautiful day of remote riding and the backdrop of the Baviaanskloof visible at all times.
Our last day is the cherry in top as we wind our way through the Longmore Forest, and into 3 bike parks with the most awesome hand manicured single track one could wish for…. It’s a fitting end to an incredible 4 day adventure and memories that will stay with you for years to come.
