Stenerhag and Süss to ride as Meerendal/CBC in 2017 Cape Epic

Meerendal Wine Estate, the host venue for the Epic’s prologue, and leading craft beer producer Cape Brewing Company (CBC), recently announced their co-sponsorship to back new local and international riders in the 700km MTB venture.

With the likes of Swiss cross-country MTB rider, 2012 Olympic MTB rider and former Cape Epic (2011) winner, Esther Süss and Swedish National Marathon champion, Jennie Stenerhag, taking part in the women’s race, spectators can positively anticipate announcements of more pinnacle riders.

“Meerendal and CBCs co-sponsorship enables us to be part of the riders’ extraordinary adventure while supporting them from start to finish”, says CBC operation manager, Andy Kung. “The riders’ passion for and endurance during the memorable journey reiterate the love we have for our brands.”

Almost 650 teams will start the Epic’s Western Cape region MTB route in Durbanville (Meerendal), Cape Town on 19 March and speed ahead to the grand finale at Val de Vie in Franschhoek on 26 March 2017.
