“We are extremely proud to host South Africa’s premier off-road triathlon, the Fedhealth XTERRA,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports. “Taking place in the North West Province in January, and the Eastern and Western Cape in February, Fedhealth XTERRA focuses strongly on family enjoyment. Outdoor enthusiasts of all ages are in for a treat. Together with Fedhealth’s unwavering support we look forward to hosting an event that can be likened to no other.”

According to Jeremy Yatt, Principal Officer of Fedhealth, South Africa is seeing an alarming increase in lifestyle diseases that can mostly be ascribed to the modern-day lifestyle of reduced activity and increased ‘conveniences’. “That’s why Fedhealth is so proud to be associated with these events. We believe in individuals taking responsibility for their own health. The athletes that compete in these events are shining examples of what can be achieved when one is dedicated to a healthier lifestyle.”

what happened to the Knysna/Pezula event - lack of interest?...see they did a duathlon in town now (which seems a bit silly really, since Pezula didn't have water so it was never a full xterra anyway - move it next to the lagoon and don't add a swim?).
