“The Fedhealth XTERRA Nelson Mandela Bay is unique as it has a ‘City Feel’ to it,” says Michael Meyer, Managing Director of Stillwater Sports. “It’s also the only XTERRA SA event to feature an Ocean swim. This adds an additional level of excitement while the beautiful Kings Beach serves as the perfect backdrop for XTERRA Warriors as they make their way to the finish line after a challenging day out on route.”

According to Hendrico Burger, Fedhealth XTERRA Race Director, the start of the Fedhealth XTERRA Nelson Mandela Bay is sure to be fast. “The MTB discipline is mostly single track. It’s not very technical, but it will have a few challenging surprises. There will also only be a few short sections where XTERRA Warriors can juggle for positions. My advice to entrants is to train single track riding and running. Also practice your portage technique with your mountain bike. Lastly be sure to include a few beach-run sessions.”
