Saturday the 11th was playtime for Durban’s Enduro riders. Giba MTB Park hosted another of it’s awesome annual Gravity Enduro days.

Durban’s winter is the most mild in SA, so it doesn’t stop any outdoor fun! We were treated to the most perfect day! Cool in the shade with the sun warming you up in the open areas. A little rain earlier in the week kept the trails a nice and tacky, all the ingredients for a great day on the trails!
People filtered in early to sign up & get their timing chips & check out some of the product on display by G2G, LAPIERRE & Fox. 9am was time to hit the trails & the fast hill climbers were on their way down by quarter past.
There were 4 trails to choose from in the first stage & then on to the last, stage 5 for the final. The day aims to cater for all ages, so the trails are nice & easy, but there are more challenging line options for more advanced riders.
By 12:00 most riders had completed all 4 trails & it was time for finals on stage 5, which took riders back to the main area where they could grab lunch & refreshments & compare notes with the other riders.
Such an awesome event where the focus is more on having fun riding bikes with your friends on some spectacular trails than being the fastest. The finish area was full of smiles! Some hidden by dirt & sweat, but luckily Monster was there dishing out drinks to get everyone’s energy back.

That's a lot of lycra! Lol, I jest. Cool to see organisers get all comers to attend.
