Cogent Industries is pleased to announce that they have been awarded the distribution rights in South Africa for the Italian-born premium brand BRAKING®. Offering an extensive range of brakes, pads and complete systems, Cogent Industries has the expertise to offer full technical support to mountain biking enthusiasts on all the brand’s products.

Unrivalled performance, control and stopping power

BRAKING®, the global brake-systems manufacturer and brand that completely changed the face of motorcycle sport with its revolutionary non-round disk design, raises the bar through innovation that enhances performance. With a winning streak of 124 world championships in motorcycle racing, BRAKING® has since fine-tuned its portfolio of technologies for the world of cycling: their floating discs that have been tested under the gruelling conditions of the motorcycle track, these are a game-changer thanks to excellent thermal expansion without deformation, and this technology is now available for those who prefer their off-road experience to be pedal-powered.

Brake discs, pads and complete systems designed to deliver total power under control

Having recently launched their newest S3 semi-floating disk concept that combines the positive features of both floating and fixed disks, BRAKING’s WFIX®, Batfly®, S3® brake disc designs guarantee exceptional braking performance, delivering dependable control and unrivalled stopping power, no matter the conditions.

Ideal for e-bikes, mountain bikes, cross country, enduro and downhill applications, full systems from BRAKING® benefit from higher pressure inside the overall system, translating to greater stopping power and enhanced lever modulation sensitivity requiring minimal lever movement.

Braking feel and performance remains consistent under high pressure, with braided hoses that come standard to ensure the ultimate balance between powerful braking and responsive control at the rider’s fingertips.

Each full system comes with a two-year warranty, which also entitles customers to a free full system rebuild within two years of purchase. BRAKING® also offers an extensive range of OEM replacement brake pads for most brands in sintered, carbo-metallic and organic compounds.

For those that demand the ultimate in performance, modulation, heat dissipation and braking power that will blow your mind, you can’t go wrong with this brand’s extensive product line.

think i'm gonna try that semi-floating setup. should be interesting. Bit of a pity they don't offer 200mm rotors. I'd prefer a drop-in replacement for my current discs as opposed to shimming up the caliper. Not a problem, just a lack of convenience.
