Interac was established in 1979 and is one of the longest-serving importers and wholesale distributors to the bicycle and motorcycle trades in South Africa and in 1984 they were appointed as the official South African importer and distributor of Continental 2-wheel tyres. The German company’s program of product development in the bicycle tyre sector resulted in Conti tyres becoming a market leader. This position has remained unchallenged for over 20 years.

In 2018 more teams are using Conti tyres in the Tour de France than any other brand. And that’s not all. Conti is the official tyre partner of the Tour and will be for the next 5 years. That is a coup of epic proportions if you consider that Conti was a major sponsor of 3 World Cup Soccer events and they’ve now switched their attention to a race which has the biggest TV viewership of any sports event in any given 4 year period. Sounds far-fetched? Keep an eye on our Conti blog in the next couple of weeks for some eye-opening stats!

Thanks for the heads up. We'll inquire with Continental to get the correct address.

Ok - interac@global.co.za should do the trick. Please let me know if you experience any further problems.

Limited Edition Tour de France Grand Prix 4000RS road tyres - Conti MTB ProTection tyres - would be awesome to use and test any of these tyres...holding thumbs  :-)

when does the comp close / winners announced?

Yo-Yo, Jun 21 2018 12:05

Does this mean with a new 'online home' that they are going for online sales / direct model like YT, Intense, PYGA, etc?

let's hope that with sponsoring the tour they do better than all competitors in this space and have a good year.

Website is punk. Either that or they do only have Der Baron 2.5s  in 29" and Der Kaiser only in 26". Ducks not in a row for the big launch, or they really don't cater for the enduro/dh market with any enthusiasm.

Who are the winners then?
