Hi Guys,

Calling on all the experienced guys who have been cycling for years. How have your times compared for the 94.7 and the Argus? (i.e. 94.7 = 2h50, Argus = 2h55)

I did the 94.7 in 3h59 last year and I’m trying to see if it’s realistic for me to aim at doing the Argus in <4hours.

Plenty of factors to play with here but I recon but with all this being equal:

94.7 - 3h59 should give you a Argus - 04:12

That is just an estimate but should be a good motivator to put some ham on it and aim for sub 4!

Enjoy!

but remember, last year was PERFECT weather! Gotta put at least 15 minutes onto that with a little bit of wind......

My best ever 94.7 was 2:52. The next year my Argus time was 3:07 (even better prepared than for 94.7), so I do not think you can compare the two time wise.

94.7 in 2:32 and Argus in 2:37.

I rode more than half the 94.7 almost alone or in groups of 3-4. I should have done a 2:20 or so 94.7.

2011 Argus - 3:16 - 2011 94.7 - 3:42

I think it all depends on how fit you are in March vs. November .

I train lekker hard in the summer but loaf a bit in the winter (long winters)

And then Seeding surely plays a roll together with weather conditions as mentioned above

Interesting... I had exactly the same times... 2010 94.7 and 2011 Argus...
