Look, I know f'all about cycling, but I think that's not fair. Sagan will be the first Sagan, and I think he is already a Champion, as opposed to Cancelara's champion...

Sagan sucked wheel and won off Cancellara's break. Fact.

Sagan may have won 14 but he hasn't won anything on his own yet ala Boonen, or Cancellara or Gilbert. Bottom line is, he wins like a sprinter, let's see how he does against Cav on a flat finish.

That's pro bike riding tho... Sprinters win by getting a good position and coming off there to the line. Can't rubbish him for that. He's won from break away groups (Paris Nice), mountain tops (TdS), GC stage races and again today. One person says 'he sucked wheel' I say he read the situation after being the only person to stay with Spart' and won the stage. He had the balls to delay and play cat and mouse when the rest of the bunch were breathing down his neck.

He won, it was a good win. If Spart had been that good today then he would have won. Simple.

Spectacular finish.

EBH, Spartacus and Sagan did well to break off the front.

Each of them earned the right to fight for thr top podium position.

Sagan was just the stronger AND smarter of the 3.

It's lekka to see Spartacus retain yellow.

What a class act.

What options did Sparticus have, bunch bearing down on him and 2 passengers.

That's racing, Scotty...

He placed himself in that situation.

You alluded to Sagan being the smartest, had Sparticus sat up and let the bunch catch them that would make him the dumbest.

Yeah, I read that Richie Porte waited with him and tried to pull him back.

But the pace was too hot at the front.

Yellow helmets is a new thing this year. The team of the GC winner wears yellow helmets the whole tour.

Actually it's for the team leading the team competition, yellow numbers and yellow helmets.

I don't agree with that,YELLOW is for the maillot jaune and not for a team.

Great finish, nice that st1 had an interesting finish already. What more is there to learn for Sagan - looks like he knows enough to win lots. For Suise and ToC there were many "yes but" comments, like there were few good finishers, or few good sprinters etc. Well, today those big dogs were left sucking his exhaust fumes today. The sprints between him and Cav will be interesting.
