Just curious if its just me that hasn't been on my bike since Burry was killed on Thursday?

I have been quite saddened by the whole tragedy and have not wanted to get on my bike since...

I've just came off a ride at Holla, and found myself thinking of him constantly.

Same with me. I rode to work this morning thinking about him I nearly flippen cried and I've never met him.

Having spent a lot of money on my roadbike before I last rode it, I have to..... but Burry is just yet another reason why I should keep my road bike for my trainer and just stick to my mountain bike.

Even had an ex-pro I know, say she'll never touch her road bike again.

I'm still on leave, wanted to use the last couple of days for some training. And haven't felt like it at all.

There's a heavy air of sadness across the social networks. Last night's pictures of the ghost bike on the nelson mandela bridge had me all weepy dammit!

It has been an eye opener and a reminder of my own mortality. If this can happen to a pro, then I'm so much more vulnerable.

I've re-deployed the funds I've been saving for a road-bike elsewhere and I'm changing my mtb training rides to cut out as much tar as possible,

it just aint worth it

Went for a ride this morning (or tried to do a ride). Constantly thinking about Burry. Turned around halfway and went straight back home. Just felt dead.

Same here. Never met him and almost cried. For some reason his death has had a much bigger impact on me than any of the other cycling deaths? All deaths are very sad, however, this one feels different? Life is so fragile. Cannot even imagine what his family is going through...
