LARC DISTRIBUTORS Posted June 13, 2013 Share Good day to all you Hubbers LARC Distributors are the new national distributing agents for the following brands: FUJI, Kestrel, SE Bikes, Breezer and Oval Concept. We are also currently investigating other niche products in the cycling industry. www.larcdistributors.co.za As you will be aware the FUJI brand is an established (1899) and well respected brand in South Africa. The distribution for the last few yearswas performed by a retailer/distributor based in Gauteng. Fuji did extremely well in this area. However the retail/distributor model inadvertentlylimited the “coverage” of the brand in South Africa. The Fuji range covers all cycling sectors with models at entry level right up to high endcompetition product. The 2013 models are creating a lot of excitement and can be viewed at: http://www.fujibikes.com SE Bikes is a brand specializing in BMX, Retro and urban fixies. The brand has a cult following in the states. SE Bikes can be viewed at: http://www.sebikes.com Kestrel is fairly well known in SA although we are looking to establish the brand further especially in the Triathlon cycling segment.View the Kestrel range here: http://www.kestrelbicycles.com Breezer were actually pioneers of MTB development and have a very solid range of MTB bikes as well as urban and women specific transport bikes. For more information on Breezer view: http://www.breezerbikes.com Oval Concepts are a parts and accessory manufacturer with an ever growing range of products. This brand has some very exciting products indevelopment. http://www.ovalconcepts.com LARC Distributors seeks to identify interested cycling retailers for our brands to secure a national network of dealers. Where we believe there will be mutual benefit and sufficient support, we will consider regional exclusivity. Skylark Posted June 13, 2013 Share All about after sales service, time and time again I see it on thehub, the brands people love and talk about and blow their money piles on are the ones that don't give their end users the run around or take a hike attitude when things go wrong. It's never about the grey area it's about suppliers using the grey area to jump ship. Honor warranties that make the customers feel good not cheated, its a way of doing business not rocket science. Case in point is Shimano/Cool Heat(if I remember correctly) that apparently still contravenes the CPA by not honoring the warranty on their goods if you are not the original purchaser, never mind you have the original invoice and it's still within the 12-month warranty, they can give no reasonable reason why this is - just a rule to screw the customer is what I was told by a dealer as it is not an industry wide standard but rather they are big enough to force the issue. Misuse or abuse is fair to reject a warranty claim and that can be demonstrated - no grey area.Or err within reason on the side of the customer - in that case does the customer win or the brand win?
