old peugeot frame i bought for R150 and rest of the parts here. it took me a while to get all the parts and to build but the joy is so much sweeter. gear ratio 42/17 and back paddle hub for breaking.

I saw this GT cx frameset in an ad here on the hub about a year ago and decided that it was ideal for the SS project I'd been wanting to do for a while. Local bike shop built the rear wheel around an eccentric hub (White Industries) for me and the rest of the parts I had lying around or found online. I love this bike - have been riding it for the last eight months while the geared bike is hooked up to the indoor trainer :-). Hope you guys like it.

first ride done on the weekend.

Feels weird not having to change gears.

I need to look at ratios as I'm spinning out at 25km/h. Climbing is a breeze with the current ratio though.

edit: top-tube bag not a permanent fixture, I had no space for my keys and phone

Nice dude. Why did you repaint it?

the previous paint job was BAD and there was some rust coming through on the chainstays which needed repair
