Wilhelm87 Posted August 14, 2013 Share I use this app on my phone for browsing forums. Every site works fine, including this one. however I cannot view the classifieds with tapatalk. The classifieds just end up showing no threads. Does anyone else use this app/have an solution to this problem?

Matt Posted August 14, 2013 Share The Tapatalk App only shows content from our Forums. Unfortunately Classifieds on The Hub is completely separate to the forums and is a feature not available via Tapatalk. There has been some confusion due to the old "Classifieds Forum" still displaying in Tapatalk, but empty as you've described. When we moved the Classifieds out of the Forums and into it's own dedicated application in 2010, the old forums were left in a view-only state for reference to any old ads. These have now been removed altogether to avoid any confusion. You can still view classifieds in a mobile friendly format on your device by using the mobile website. Most mobile devices should automatically display the mobile version, but if not you can switch between the full web version and mobile version via the link displayed in the website footer:

Is there any chance that the classifieds can be added as a separate forum to tapatalk in the future? It would be nice if everything can be browsed through the same app.

The Classifieds are very much separate from the Forums so would not be added to Tapatalk in it's current form. I have engaged with Tapatalk to see how we can possibly incorporate the two, even via mobile browser as a workaround, however their platform is currently limited to forum content only. We do plan to release our own mobile apps in the near future, however I can't give any timelines on that at this stage.

Matt Posted August 22, 2013 Share So what you are saying is that other forums where we are able to view classifieds, is in fact part of the forum,Where as the hubs "classifieds" & "forum" is separate, is that understanding correct? 100% correct. Our Classifieds used to be just a forum, but with the volume of listings we began to receive and feedback from users regarding the limitations of the forums it made more sense for this to be moved to a built-for-purpose Classifieds section where it is today. milky4130
milky4130 Posted August 22, 2013 Share Something else I've noticed while using the iPhone app, is that I'm unable to see "active topics" unless I navigate to that specific forum. "Unread"; "Timeline" & "Participated" all shows the same thing, on other forums participated is self explanatory & obvious, but timeline & unread actually shows "active topics" ones that i did not post in or follow. Is that possible development in progress or is that just the way The Hub SA will be?

Unread and participated also show threads as expected. Are you on the latest version of the app?

Matt Posted August 26, 2013 Share Admin, any update on this? Hi milky4130, I think I've found the culprit. The filter settings you specify for the "New content / Active topics" view on The Hub are used by TapaTalk. If you go to the New Content view on the normal web version you'll see the filter options down the left hand side, e.g. Any filters used here, e.g. "Only items I follow" are also used by Tapatalk in their "Timeline" view. To add/remove a filter simply click on the name. Let me know if that helps.
