Hi guys,

I hurt myself and we need to find someone who could ride instead of me. We need an UCI rider who is able to do top 25 men category. Unfortunately it is not a free entry so the rider would have to pay my spot. So it would be great if you know someone who I could ask. Thank You. Cheers Tom

Contact Nico Pfitzenmaier - he might be available this year.

A Top 25 rider who didn't enter but are fully fit and peaking just in time for the Epic, and can pay his own way.

You're not asking for much... I'll check with my cycling buddies to see if one of them is available.

I am pretty sure you will find someone willing to flog themselves with your partner for a week, there are plenty of youngsters in around Cape Town as 'semi-pros', they can cover their sponsor stuff, ie a pair of sunglasses and perhaps some energy drinks, with maybe a spare tyre or two.

Main thing is if they can come up with the cash - then they will turn themselves inside out for this opportunity.

Suggest you try the Stellenbosch 'student' crowd and the twitter scene, although your dm inbox is probably full already.

What an opportunity - hope someone takes it for all its worth and all that secret training and hours of hoping pays off.

To be a "Uci" rider you just need the CSA R350 license, right?

And a couple of bucks for the entry as well.

That's rof.
