MrJacques Posted August 13, 2014 Share I think the easier option is just to dilute the cheaper thick tyre sealant with water and anti-freeze and maybe add some glitter. I haven't tried it but someone here once sent me their recipe and it was basically the above mentioned, mixed about 50 /50, but using Midas pre-mixed anti-freeze. MrJacques Posted August 13, 2014 Share Yebo, that should work. I've used the slime pro sealant before in a tubeless setup and it worked well.
Sawdust Posted August 13, 2014 Share I've been making my own "stans" for many years. We checked it on an infrared scanner and it was a perfect match. You'll need liquid latex. I get mine in PE from a company called Stapol.Propolyne glycol you can order from any pharmacyDistilled waterMaize meal about 3 parts by volume liquid latex;about 7 parts by volume water; andabout 6 parts by volume propylene glycol. Mix the water with the latex and add the glycol slowly. Mix it well and add a few teaspoons of the maize meal. I sometimes add another teaspoon full straight into the tyre before sealing it. it works out to around one third of the price of Stans. dasilvarsa, IH8MUD, Jorrie and 3 others
