Whats the story with the new helmets?

Going through all the pics of the 94.7 ( well thos that actually made it there) and I see many of the full closed helmets.

 

My question its always been said that one need the openings for airflow and to keep cool - has some one been lying to us all this time can we actually use a helmet with no holes ?post-36234-0-10845200-1416151847_thumb.jpg

i wanted that new bell super with the removable jaw bit until i saw the price too!

must because its so much more material :ph34r:

So should we look out for those polystyrene pot helmets with Lycra covers that came into being in the 80's?

 

Can't wait to wear my leather hairnet helmet again!

These (limited vent) helmets have been shown to be more airodynamic.

There was a thread a WHILE back (I think before the big crash), where the factors that play a role in improved performace were discussed.

These helmets have a bigger performance benefit than aero wheels. (If I remember correctly)

if they can build something like google glass into the pispotts overly sized glasses that has GPS directions , my speed and afcourse I need to be able to read my whatsapp messages then I may consider it
