Cam182 Posted November 17, 2014 Share Just to compare... $499 in the states = R5530 I'd buy overseas except I've read that the early production versions of this watch had waterproofing issues. So if you happened to get one of these it would be a pain in the arse if the local guys didn't support its warranty. Dirkitech

I went through 2 before I got one that didn't leak!

(Add R100 clearance fee and its cheaper to buy local) Of course, the best is to buy it yourself overseas.
EugeneLNel Posted February 6, 2015 Share I've just bought one and damn do I have buyers remorse. it's so not worth the R7300 price tag. the cradle feels like a toy bought at Osmans. The unit is just too light. The software is extremely entry level - you'd expect something that warrants the price tag. the screen is small, when you use the device the screen becomes smaller because of headers. I value this device at around the R3500 mark. i'm riding the 99er tomorrow and will be taking it for its first test run. I so hope this device redeems itself tomorrow. usxorf Posted February 6, 2015 Share I've been using the 920xt as a daily for a week now. Compared to the fenix 2 I've been using for a year it's a lot less cumbersome to start an activity, connect to gps, bike sensors, HRM. Syncing to connect afterwards works most of the time. Smart notifications working well. It's more plastic than the fenix but doesn't feel cheap imo. Screen will probably scratch easily so put on a protector. I've loaded a couple of watch faces from apps.garmin.com, haven't seen any worthwhile apps yet but I'm sure that will improve.
