Multi-sport watch

Just sold my Garmin Fenix 2, and anticipating some extra ching to come in I am looking at a new multisport watch.

I am a stravaian, so jip has to feed into strava, I also want it to synch with my phone so I don’t need to plug into a pc, live tracking would be nice and it has to have multiple and custom profiles, so if I want a kayak one I can create it.

Sofar it seems its up to Garmin 920 xt ? and suunto ambit 3( the ambit being very expensive) I also really want the Fenix 3 but can’t seem to find anyone with stock? Is it even out in SA?

Issue I have with the Garmin 920 xt  is that it has just those two horrendous colours... black/blue and white/red.

What would you recommend

Loving my 910XT. As people "upgrade" now they can be found for cheap. And it does 99% of what the 920XT does.

I Recommend Fenix 2

why did you sell yours?

The Fenix 3 is only coming out at the end of the year in RSA.

Fenix 3 > ambit 3.

Fenix 3 will be available in SA mid April. Can link it with your phone to receive notification (Sms, calls ect ). I am waiting till then. It would probably be in the price range of the Ambit 3. Go to Dcrainmaker.com and read the full review on the fenix 3

Liking the look of the 920XT...

Even in those "in your face" colours.

Just a bit out of my budget at the moment...

Doesn't sync with your mobile over Bluetooth or have live track... 2 of my top requirements

Loved it but the lack of live tracking and lack of having Bluetooth and ant on at same time was a issue for me...

I just got the 920XT a couple of weeks ago and could not be more impressed with it. Does everything I could want and more. - The best watch for multisport in my opinion

From your use what limitations have you found?

I read that if you load a course you can't zoom in on it, what is the default magnification it goes to, 500m?

If you are doing / Following a course, can you access your own display pages such as what you normally use during a ride eg: Speed, Distance, Hr & Cadence which you set up in Page 1?
