Let me introduce KODI to you...

As I am sure you are aware, NF has just launched in SA. However it doesn't exactly have the full range that America does. What I am about to show you is a program you can install on to your pc, or buy yourself a MINIX smart box (which I will explain later) and load the app on to your smartbox and enter a world of free TV. It is NF on steroids. There are live TV options you can watch (depending on your net speed) in HD for free.

Its name is KODI aka XBMC. It is extremely complex to set up, but I will supply you with a step by step installation process, I promise... it is worth it. I have been using it for about a year now. All I advise you to do then is to just play around with it and get used to the way it works. When you have it setup and running you will be able to watch any series (from season 1 to the latest) and quite literally any movie you could think of. The way it works is you install TV ad-ons to KODI and in those ad-ons is all the entertainment you could ever need and more.

So to download it visit: http://kodi.tv/

Step by step video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XeZr_SibuUY

Or an everything you need to know walkthrough: http://mymediaexperience.com/xbmc-guide/

To check out the Minix smart box (turns your tv into smart TV) visit: http://www.minix.us/

and to buy it: http://www.takealot.com/seller/boosh?sellers=9820

I have no affiliation to any of this. I am just introducing you to a much cost effective way of watching TV.

Enjoy.

I have been using Kodi for over 3 years - back then it was XBMC. Very happy with, Have tried Plex as well, but we don't use the remote watching option so Kodi does just fine.

It's not that difficult to set up and is very easy to use.

i deliberated this recently and opted for the roku. the main advantage of kodi vs roku is the simpler abaility to watch browser based streaming services...which i still need to get right with the roku

Also been using Kodi/XBMC for over 2 years, so much so that I have created my own EPG of the live streaming channels I like to watch and get all the channel info using Webgrab.  Then of course you can search for the movies and tv series

Also been discussed here https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/146482-goodbye-dstv/page-1

And back in the day early 2013 https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/126182-internet-based-media-entertainment/

Wakey wakey and welcome to XBMC/Isengard/Kodi  :whistling:

Not really - I  have seen mention of an addon that works - but I am a DSTV subscriber too - so just watch on DSTV....

Try the sportsdevil addon, you will at least be able to get sky sports, eurosport and BT sport plus a few others which will cover the majority of sport around the world.

Install the FTV addon, ITV 4 also has a lot of sport and had the TdF and Giro live last year with a cycling program in the evening which had the days highlights as well
