Speeltyd Posted February 1, 2016 Share I just now agreed to do the BikeHub "quick" online survey - which purpoted to survey my experience with the site.It turned out to be everything but that! It was all about my online shopping experience, and it felt like it would never end; the options/answers to the questions were insufficient - all in all a very unprofessional experience.Next time they really want to survey my experience with the site, there will be no response from me.BikeHub, sort out such rubbish.Otherwise, I enjoy the site and what it offers. TheJ Posted February 1, 2016 Share You might not be aware of it, but there is a quick, pain free and magical way of getting out of most things online that are bothersome. Letum911 and RocknRolla
Matt Posted February 1, 2016 Share Hi Speeltyd, My apologies for the negative experience. This survey is run by our user analytics provider Effective Measure. It provides an anonymised view of our audience demographic which is very helpful to us and feeds into their broader view of the SA internet population. As a result of the general nature of the data required some of the questions can be out of place in relation to what you'd typically do on Bike Hub.I'll take the matter up with them to see what can be done to 1) ensure there is better communication regarding the survey's purpose 2) improve the quality of the questions and answers and 3) make it shorterIn the interim though, you can to dismiss the request without the need to complete the survey and it should not pop up again.Kind Regards,Matt

Kind Regards,Matt Hi Matt, thanks for the quick response. The first 10 or so questions were just that - demographics. But the rest were as if they are doing a paid-for-survey, with information that I am sure will mean nothing for BikeHub as such.Just saying...No harm done though - I could have exited at any time - curiocity got the better of me

SV - I'll have a chat to them regarding the persistence of the popup. It is supposed to disappear for a few months after you dismiss it so as not to annoy users. Matt you can get alot of that from google analyticsThanks, we use Analytics almost exclusively. Effective Measure is the chosen tool of the IAB SA and as part of our membership we're required to use it. Alongside the supplementary demographics it's very useful in providing benchmarking stats comparing and ranking the top sites in SA. Robodog Posted February 2, 2016 Share I've completed the survey but it's annoying that it still pops up every time I log in.
