Ashburton MTB Series #2 Sabie 2016

Is it just me or is anyone else wondering why there's very little info or chat on here regarding the Ashburton Series #2 which is to be held at Sabie the 20-21 Feb 2016?  I have entered the marathon and look forward to returning to the mountains of Sabie after too long.  After reading about all the issues and complaints at Meerendal, I certainly hope next weekend will run a little smoother for Advendurance.

It is very Quiet. Im in for the Ultra and the Half Marathon on Sunday.

Cant believe they charge R400 for the Ultra and R240 for the Half Marathon.

Yes quite a steep price increase, R300 for the Marathon and riding the 17km fun race with my s.o. on Sunday and that is R150 but really looking forward to the event.

In for the marathon as well but doing it as a social. After meerendal I was tempted not to go...but seeing as accom booked and paid for the family will enjoy the weekend away. If excitement builds maybe I can persuade the Mrs to do the half...see needs some training before Argus

I have made the decision to not do any of the Nissan or Advendurance races this year.

Entry fees too high, too many people and tired of people cheating

To be honest in all the years I've ridden the Sabie, it has always been a great experience because as far as I know the locals basically run the show and those town folk know how to organise and plan.

You are 100% right

Between Uncle Dennis and Brett Coats, they put on a really good event wich is challenging but well run.

Good Coffee

Great Pancakes

Awesome vibe

Will hopefully be in for the 70km on Sat and the Half on Sunday

To all the newbies......I hope you like climbing!!!!!
