Lostee Posted January 12, 2018 Share I will be attempting my very first vets appearance. It's gonna be a lonely ride! Edit: Hopefully I won't fall like last year. I hear the racing is more "mature" in vets . Edited January 12, 2018 by Lostee
mecheng89 Posted January 12, 2018 Share Probably (correct me if I'm wrong) the fastest race on the Gauteng calendar. Still in two minds as to whether I want to do this one.. seeding is taking a beating, 947 seeding was a lot weaker than anticipated (damn you Daryl!) umusneva, Lostee and bmw1za

One that comes up very close is Gerald's race... Any race will help with seeding, and you might get lucky since this is the first one this season... Maybe guys aren't that fit and you might get a bump up the ladder.

It's one of the easier races to get into vets racing. Rather start with a flatter ride as opposed to the hilly rides, especially if your climbing is not up to scratch. Blue Monster Posted January 12, 2018 Share Haha, true! Given that, I think I should just race open on this one and try vets on another flatish one.Vets for this race is a much better idea. Two years ago the A batch remained as a massive group to the end, and Racetec could not record all the finishers. I had to send garmin file to get a result. Large group in vets (usually smaller than alphabet soup) is much better than large group in alphabet soup. Vets tend to have better skills, but the racing is hard, but fun.
