timhoek Posted September 11, 2018 Share Navworld, however, depending on the model, they can't do the a screen replacement. The will offer you a crash replacement at about 40% of the new value.
Sidmouth Posted September 11, 2018 Share It's a 520, I'm sure if they do screen repairs it will be a 520, I hope they give me the option 9f crash replacement, the battery is not great any more
timhoek Posted September 11, 2018 Share Definately a crash replacement, I also cracked my screen on the 520, got a new one straight away. Was a little over R2000 if I remember correctly.

Craai Posted September 11, 2018 Share Took my Fenix 3 in to have altimeter checked (way off) and to have battery replaced as it was no longer holding charge and going flat in a couple of days. Was offered a brand new Fenix 3 HR Sapphire for R2000 even though original was almost 3 years old and long out of warranty. Went through Navworld, but they just ship it off to Garmin in any event Edited September 11, 2018 by Craai
CAAD4 Posted September 12, 2018 Share Do they ever replace batteries, as my Fenix 3 requires charging more often?
splat Posted September 12, 2018 Share Navworld in Maitland, but they send it to Garmin in Joberg anyway. Not sure what they are able to do here in Cape Town in terms of repair. My wife is trying to get her Forerunner 35 sorted out through them. It has been more than a week with little to no feedback on status or timelines.it would have been better to courier the unit straight to Joberg and deal with them directly. HenryS Posted September 12, 2018 Share The latest is that you must send it directly to Garmin in Jhb. My Edge 500 was replaced with an Edge 520 for R1700 in June. Navworld still did it then and charged me R200 to send it. You can send it yourself for R100 via Aramex couriers.
Craai Posted September 12, 2018 Share Do they ever replace batteries, as my Fenix 3 requires charging more often?Don’t think they replace batteries, my Fenix did the same and it was a R2000 swapout for a new Fenix3 (At least I got upgraded to Fenix3 HR Sapphire)

Straight swap, so it must have been within warranty period (I didn't think it was)R200 courier charge

CharlesZ Posted September 12, 2018 Share last time I had an issue with my HR monitor belt I took it to Navworld and said they don't do any repairs or replacements anymore. It goes straight through Garmin now. I took it straight to Garmin in Rosebank, JHB to get it sorted but not nearly as helpfull as NAVworld was
Cookie88 Posted September 12, 2018 Share My Garmin Forerunner 35 has completely bombed out - screen is just showing a couple of scrambled lines on the screen and tried charging up and hard reset... No luck. Was bought from Sportsman's Warehouse in January - what would be best, take it back back to the store or send straight back to Garmin with the receipt?
