RiaanLouw Posted November 16, 2018 Share Hi, I’m struggling to find a single speed disc brake hub (32) with a threaded axle to use with nuts at a reasonable price (R2k). The size of axle not to crucial, I will file the dropouts. I see hubs on ebay but they don’t ship to SA. I look in SA, I cant find any... Can someone please point my nose in a direction. Alouette3 Posted November 17, 2018 Share What hub do you currently have? I bought a threaded no name brand axle with cones from Bridge cycles a couple weeks back fro R25! This was to fix up a cheap commuter bike, but no reason if you have a standard cup and cone hub like shimano, you can't just fit one of these axles to the hub with your existing cones etc. Provided the thread is the same. RiaanLouw Posted November 17, 2018 Share I browsed the internet so hard yesterday. All the sites with single speed hubs says out of stock, including international. Found a hub on ebay tho. Originally it doesn’t ship to SA, but the seller is making a plan for me now. It’s gonna end up costing me a R1000, if the deal goes through.
