Anyone using these Strava add-ons? Is it worth it? Thinking of using the analysis and training options.

You mean the Stravistix add-on? I use it often, but find it limited, so I end up using it alongside Golden Cheetah and Xert at the same time.

I got 2 months free with my element bolt, so still trying it out. But so far not worth the money for me if I do not have a power meter, even though I am a bit of a data junkie.

can't say i see any benefit in strava summit.

the basic version is fun.

i use golden cheetah to analysis my rides

Using "strava sauce" as a chrome extension. As mentioned above there are plenty free software options to analyze ride data (gold cheetah = gold standard).

I use the safety beacon feature, but strava analysis tools are useless, they add no value.

Agreed, take the cheapest package that includes Live Segments and leave the rest of the fitness/planning features to better software.

I took the analysis package for R239 per year which is quite cheap, it offers live segments

I find the compare effort tool useful on summit

My premium membership seems to have been converted into a summit membership with all of the bells and whistles. I would pay the bucks just for the live segments. They make every ride into a competition.

Summit is premium, they just created splits for it as well.

 

Everything summit has is what premium had

if you are riding with a Garmin you might have this feature free of charge.

i use my Garmin incident detection.

I must be the only guy in the world that cannot figure out how to use GT. I find it confusing and cumbersome. And I’ve tried it a few times. :-(
