The Ouzo Posted March 4, 2019 Share I've used Cyclemeter for what feels like forever to log my rides. With no direct link between Cyclemeter and Garmin Connect I have to export to gpx and then import in cyclemeter. There is also no export button (that I can find) on garmin connect mobile for ios, so what I land up doing is opening garmin connect via chrome on the phone, and then exporting from there. The thing is, without fail, i need to export and download 3 times for it to work. I am now so used to it that I dont even try and import the first 2 exports anymore. anyone else having a similar issue and are there any work arounds ? The Ouzo Posted March 4, 2019 Share Stupid question. Why Cyclemeter?I started using it many centuries ago, so just about every ride I've done since is logged in there. So to keep everything in one place I now export out of GC into CM. cat-i and Spinnekop

ChrisF Posted March 4, 2019 Share I dont Strava I am trying Strava ... to get my data into a single place. I use a Polar with the one bike and a Garmin with the other. LONG story short ... what a PAIN ! For something that is hailed as the end all and be all ... very dissapointed in just how limited Strava is .... and NO, I dont want to spend time after each upload telling Strava what should go where. EDIT - most of the time I dont even look at my commute load for weeks or months. Yes, I keep the record, and do periodical checks to see changes in my riding times, heart rate, etc. And obviously it is nice to keep track of the bikes total distance. It would be nice to have the data for both bikes in a single data base, BUT, I want to be able to note the bike specific data at the click of a button .... At the moment I use Strava for the combined data, then go back to Polar or Garmin for the individual data .... surely there must be a better way (without have to tell Strava what each upload is..) And from what I've read it seems to be the better app at doing that. just wish they'd bring out a desktop version.
Donovan Le Cok Posted March 4, 2019 Share Have you tried https://tapiriik.com/ ?
Pulse Posted March 4, 2019 Share I dont StravaI’m also not a strava fan, and almost never even open the app. But I do use it as a go-between for my data. I’m just trying to find a simple way to sort your problem
shaper Posted March 4, 2019 Share You can also set strava to private, so that only you can see workouts and then use it as a web based data transfer. As mentioned, also look at tapriik, else use a file sync program to upload your own data to your dropbox and then pull down from there.
The Ouzo Posted March 4, 2019 Share Thanks guys All these work around sound like more work than hitting export 3 times. Was hoping to get a direct link or something. Tapriik might have been an option if it supported Cyclemeter. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edited March 4, 2019 by ouzo
Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted March 4, 2019 Share if there's a link between Strava and CM, then you can automate that process with relative ease. No need to use it for anything else seven
Mr Anderson Posted March 4, 2019 Share Garmin to strava is automatic, not sure about the link from strava to cyclemeter, but if that is also automatic then it’s a no brainer and saves you from submitting it three times.
shaper Posted March 4, 2019 Share Cyclemeter says it can auto transfer to strava, https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cyclemeter-gps-cycling-running-mountain-biking/id330595774?mt=8 So you could automatic upload your garmin and cyclemeter data to strava and have all your info and workout stored there raptor
