What is the protocol on The Bikehub to report or highlight a bad seller/s ?

Under the Classifieds tab, there's a Feedback & Ratings tab...

Hi Fat Boab

Thanks for that...i have rated him but that to me just has no bearing or holds the seller or buyer accountable. What it does do is warn other hubbers for future reference and i am greatful for that.

Example in case...this chap has spoken to me so much today than he has since i purchased the frame saying i'll have my money tonight...and guess what...more stories from him and says he'll call me tomorrow....just no repecussion for these okes.

Well creating more threads on the same topic wont help. We've discussed it on the other one. Either open up a case, or at least make his employer aware of this. But i agree, its time to properly ruin this guy's reputation properly. Not just on bikehub.

If he did not take delivery yet, he is not a buyer, just a time waister. Block him so that he cant bother you again. Unfortunately there will always be some of thwm. For every real buyer there is 10 time waisters in the world.

In all the time ive been on the hub, I've dealt with 2 guys so far that did similar things. Well i fell for the tricks of the first guy, very smooth oke. Managed to convince me to send the wheels before payment (long story), and it took months to get (some of) the cash. But i somewhat ruined his reputation and still got most of the money eventually. The second guy has just been promising to eft for weeks for cassettes im selling. Still ongoing. Not much of a scammer, just a professional time waster full of promises. Ill drop him a review once ive sold them to someone else

I have been buying and selling on a casual basis on the Hub for over 10 years and I have never had a problem with people not paying for something I have delivered or delivering something I have paid for.

The only problem I have is people phoning you, telling you they will take the item and then disappearing. In the meantime you have lost other potential sales. It is just common courtesy, if you say you are taking something, then change your mind, just tell me.

I once sold to a second hand bike shop. I battled for months to get my money out of them.
