Yup, did it last year... fast and furious and flat. Well organised and stocked water points.

Was postponed this year due to wet conditions, last year it was in Oct, this year, they have decided to do it early in the year.

I want to.

Just always clashes with something else.

Like my lack of preparedness

Don't let it stop you .... I'm a fatboy who has never ridden more than 120 kays but have signed up  ;)

Just entered, ridden 185km on road bike to Sun City before, this should be a lot more fun (and safe) not having to dodge traffic the whole way.

Thought about the corrugation yet?

If their website is to be believed: "(Rigid forks and hard tails will be fine, little to no corrugation roads)".

I rode this one last year on my Cotic gravel/cross bike.

“The little to no corrugation” is a bit of a misstatement, unless the roads have changed.

Didn’t find them too unpleasant though. Was manageable on rigid bike. There was ons section of about +- 5km alongside a railway which was the only unpleasant section for me on the route due to the rocks used for the railway tracks.

Other than that - thoroughly enjoyed it.

That was then. This is now. We've had rain for Africa along the route since then and the roads are now dry. It could potentially be pretty rough unless the roads have been graded again in the meantime.

Any entry for this event for sale?

I had an email exchange with the organisers when the race was postponed. They said that they were going to reopen the entries.

Correction. They HAD reopened. I see that they are now full and are running a waiting list.
