milky4130 Posted April 16, 2019 Share Another 70km Race is Yzerfontein, gravel & tar with some sections extremely sandy for a Gravel Bike, the mountain bikes had no issues though. Allrounder

Chris NewbyFraser Posted April 17, 2019 Share The Highland100 to be run in Clarens during late September, newly launched by the folk who put on the Berg100 which is held in Kzn during March.Race to the Sun 167km next month.Massive Adventures Lindley Gravel Grind, 230km and 105km early next year(these are in addition to their Spring grind this September). Planners are looking at an event in the Karkloof next year and another event is being looked at for the Tarlton/Derby areas in Gauteng province. The 95/55 gravel road race from van Gaalens in August. The Karoo2Coast 95km is the original 'big one'. The Desert Dash in Namibia. The Munga is the daddy of them all. Allrounder

Patchelicious Posted April 17, 2019 Share Maybe split them into Endurance and Gravel. I made the mistake of thinking the Dad was a Gravel race, it’s not! Allrounder

Allrounder Posted April 17, 2019 Share Maybe split them into Endurance and Gravel. I made the mistake of thinking the Dad was a Gravel race, it’s not! I think the split is correct, or did I miss classify some of them?
Tomik Posted April 17, 2019 Share Well, the Karoo to Coast is not 100 miles (as per your title) and the Cedarberg is not a gravel bike race. The organisers prohibited gravel bikes this year (for good reasons).
Tomik Posted April 17, 2019 Share Probably best to list them as 100 milers (in brackets gravel or MTB) and Endurance (i.e. longer than 100 miles) Allrounder
