Cois Posted August 12, 2019 Share I am starting to think of using some of my skills in my down time and make the most of the time that I am unable to work. I have done a few cycling events and a offroad motorbike event (motorbikes are a lot of fun to shoot, but man those guys kick up a lot of dust and stones, and the MX guys think you need to assist them where their skills lets them down. So I was wondering of doing a package for Hubbers. A private session where I can do a bit of shooting again. For now I can do Cowhouse and Rosemary Hill in Pretoria. I think the first few people will be done just to get some of my rust from my hands (even though I have nerve damage to my hands I need something to keep sane) Would the Hubbers be interested in a session like this? Can do digitals and I know I can find a place that can help with prints or with canvas work as well. Captain Fastbastard Mayhem Posted August 12, 2019 Share Do it. Proper riding pics are hard to come by, and sessioning a particular area of trail would elicit far better pics than on a race / ride type thing, IMO. I'd pay for that, personally. BaGearA Posted August 12, 2019 Share Suggestion Make your way to the 139 track this weekend for shuttle day, take some pics and post them on Facebook along with an overview of what you plan to do From there you should get lots of requests, wolwe spruit will make for much better pictures than rosemary Hill by far Cois and Captain Fastbastard Mayhem

I'd gladly pay R100 plus for a good pic. You'll make more profit on canvasses and prints, though. Cois and Lexx

Are you thinking of doing this to get some practice in and to build up a portfolio?Great, then do it! If you are thinking of building up your portfolio, going to events and then trying to sell individual photos afterwards, feel free to pm me, you might like what you hear... or not. Races might be tough as the cancer hinders me a little with regards to energy levels and being very anemic catches me out some days. Yea, you tend to run around quite a bit at the races. At some XCO races I've clocked around 22km for the day, walking! I am in the process of finalizing material for a Sports/Action Photography workshop. With a couple of adrenaline junkie athletes, we plan on having a portfolio building day If you are keen to join to come and meet likeminded folk and get some shots in, let me know, first one will be around Pretoria. Have not taken a photo in the last two yearsSame, with me and the wife. We havent done scenic pics in years. But def go for it, do other sports as well, cricket, rugby etc. Club sides where the players dont really get pics. My cousin coach's a rugby team and takes the camera with to games. He gets hounded all the time for pics from the other teams. Cois

I'll probably also hang around for a couple of sneaky pics.
