MvdP is going to be a headache for a couple of teams over the next 4 days. Can he win a Stage... or three... Only stage 3 is classified as a Mountain stage.

They are going into an underwater tunnel I presume on Stage 1 at 50odd kms from the start...

In my old job we referred to big multi carriage trucks as 'Artics'... When I saw this title I thought they were now racing articulated vehicles in Norway!

Can someone please advise how to correct the title of a thread? Can't find the "Edit" option.

Isn't there an option at the top to edit the title as the OP?

I honestly don't think you should stress about it, I think we all actually know what's going on in Norway...... But Friday dictates someone be insolent on an otherwise innocuous thread!

ASO is trying to reduce footprint of their races. All 46 cars of the #ArticRace organisation will be EV’s, with goal to make team cars electric within 3 years. Tour de France is one of the most environmentally damaging sport events around the globe.

EV vehicles easier in norway..they got loads of hydropower so it will be purely off fossil fuels.

and sheeeeeeet but it is pretty

When Mathieu hits thar 30 seconds PPO hydrogen bomb, not even wheelsucking is possible

Victory percentage of Mathieu van der Poel

, a.k.a. The Cycling Cannibal Chameleon, in 2019 (in official races on UCI-calendar):

Cyclocross 12/12 = 100%

Mountainbike 14/16 = 87,5%

Road 7/16 (after stage victory in stage 1 #ArticRace) = 43,7%

Total 33/44 = 75%!!

MvdP playing the mental game?

"Yesterday was hard, but I still have more to give"

Nah I don't think so.

You only play the mental game as a "marginal gain" effort.  To intimidate your rivals to get that final 0.1% edge.

Seeing hime ride Nino off his wheel with ease the past 2 weekends let me believe he's being naively honest

Wow... MvdP... who needs a lead out when you can drop power like that!

Enjoy watching this race, beautiful scenery.. but it looks tough - cold and exposed on the road.

Is it available live somewhere? I just get the highlights via GCN Racing channel on Youtube
