If I remember correctly the long one is 125 km with about 5500m climbing.

I did the 42km and climbed 2500m in 27 km. The last 14 km was hectic fast. Wanted to go back to do the long one but never got around to do it.

Have you done it ?

Do you live in Switzerland?

HTFU#5 mates from CT did it for my 50th in 2012, 7 & did 125km & 2 the 68k, hardest 1 day on a mtb but fantastic experience! Did plenty of climbing in training & plenty of miles but still was tough, hot & skinny air, long portage on loose shale & last 15k technical descent hard on the hands. We went 10 days early, booked Erik at MTBVerbier as guide & logistics, brilliant Dutchman, so lots of prep in altitude & technical trail sections & fun time! ???????? good luck well worth the effort!

I take my hat off for you. The 125 is hectic.

Definitely a nice way to celebrate a 50th. With mates.

Maybe repeat it for your 60 ???

Yebo in der Schweiz

I had gone over to see my son who was doing the Swiss Military at the time.

Only when I got there did I see the race advertised. Borrowed a bike and did it. I was fit from racing in SA but had never experienced hills like that.

I highly recommend it. Especially doing it the way MikeyB did it.
