Brake upgrade on the cheap... wishful thinking

Anyone ever managed to purchase just a SRAM caliper? I'd like to put Code calipers on my Guide R levers. Apparently this will be just like Guide RE's which are quite an improvement on the Guides for stopping power. No such thing as a separate caliper listed anywhere however...

Only sold as a complete unit (Caliper, hose & lever) from the supplier.

Calipers and levers are listed as separate parts. Your lbs should be able to order one for you.

Not true. Levers and calipers sold as one unit. Can probably put a special request forward for just the calipers though.

That is what is refer to. Yes sold as a complete unit but in spare parts catalogue the levers and calipers are separate sky’s, so they’re can be ordered as such but it will likely be a special order

I read somewhere that the Guide brake lines won't fit the Code caliper. Think it was on MTBR somewhere. So maybe 200mm rotors and Trickstuff power pads?

SRAM SKU 11.5018.008.035

You can probably special order through CCS, but they'll never hold spares because calipers hardly ever break. Otherwise plug that code into Google and see what comes up.

Edit: And the_bob is correct, new hoses too...
