Throwback Thursday...... When We Were Young

Bonus

Recommended Posts

Sorting out my photo's and came across this one - 94.7 Cycle Challenge 2010....

I'd done it previously on my road bike but "Wendy" didn't have a road bike so we did it on MTB's with borrowed semi-slick tyres.... took all day but it was great fun!

I remember it like it was yesterday :-)

Was a lekka wet day that. Still got a pocket of oranges as you cross the finish line.

Remember that day well.

I remember that ride, we stayed at a little Chalet at The Baths and I remember being told the next morning at breakfast that Lady Di had been killed...

In your second pic, that looks like a Trek Y-Frame in the background.

I still have a 1995 (!!!) Citrusdal tee shirt.

This post made me go dig out “that” box with all the old stuff.

My first 947

3rd one, one week before tying the knot and 0Km of riding that year between events. 15 years later, the wife is still paranoid when I go out riding.

The last time is rained at the event - proper rain. Also the heaviest I have ever been on a bike (93Kg).

I remember every ride like it was yesterday. Funny how arb stuff remains in the memory bank, and other (important stuff) is forgotten.
