Mopkop Posted November 29, 2019 Share Hi Guys Does anyone know if the Giant TCR advanced frame can fit a Sram BB30 or Rotor crank that's got the 30mm axle? I'm in 2 minds as I'm hearing conflicting stories. I know that shimano 24mm fits everywhere basically but this now affecting my power meter/groupset choices. With an adapter (External cups) the BB30 crank should fit but now im worried the axle length not being long enough with the external cups Any help will be appreciated. JA-Q001 Posted November 29, 2019 Share Giant uses Press fit BBs, so you will be looking for a 4130 BB type to fit a 30 mm axle. If you are looking at buying a sram dub crank, then they have one available. Otherwise you can either look at Token, Rotor, Hope, Race Face and a few others, that will have a BB available. Just make sure to look for a Press fit BB with OD 41mm and ID of 30 mm. Oh and lastly, this solution is only for longer axle 30mm cranks. Rotor should work unless specified for BBright. All newer SRAM cranks with a removable spider should work. All Easton/Race face cinch cranks should work. All SRAM dub cranks should work. All FSA 386 cranks should work. What wont work are, Cannondale Hollowgram, SRAM BB30 with integrated spiders, Most older BB30 cranks. When the crankset is assembled, there should be atleast 88 to 90 mm of axle between the crank faces, depending on what BB make you go for. JA-Q001 Posted November 29, 2019 Share Yes, will work. You will see it mentions BB86.
