Eina and get well Linc. I recognise those painful wheezing groans - I made them with almost exactly the same injuries (broken ribs, punctured lung and broken collar bone) but from an MTB loss of talent fail. In a separate event it was the sensuous swaying of a big interlink truck that so nearly sucked me in and finished me that made me stop riding on the road.

Showed the video to colleagues at work. Their first reaction was, "why is that cyclist riding so close to the yellow line, his handlebars are probably over the yellow line. He should know better"

We have so much work to do to get everyone aligned with the concept of giving people on bicycles a wide birth when passing...

Get well soon guys...Looking at the other two cyclists that were killed on the road last week, its a really sad situation for cyclists. But everyone, and before you crucify me for these words..just think about what i am saying. The sooner we as cyclists come to terms with the fact that our lives mean very little for people in vehicles the better off we will be. Especially bigger vehicles..and often as in the case with the bus, the driver cannot judge distance or how wide his bus is.

I kind of had the same thought in a way. The yellow lane area is so big.... Yet almost all of them are basically riding on the yellow line.

I would cycle about in the middle of the yellow emergency lane, bit not on the yellow line

Yes bus driver was an A hole..... Since at that speeds they suck you in
