Harry from Elgin Posted January 20, 2020 Share We found Trek and Specialised burried in a shallow grave near Oak Valley. We would like to return it to the owners. Please whatsapp me (082 925 2258) with bike pictures and details (serial number, date lost, possibly police/insurance report, or any form of ID) - no scammers! If the bikes are returned to their rightful owners, it would be really cool if there can be some sort of compenation for the couple that brought the bikes to us. Christie Posted January 20, 2020 Share Perhaps email bike insurers, too.
Long Wheel Base Posted January 20, 2020 Share Burried in a shallow grave???? Yoh that is hectic. Glad it was the bikes and not the people. BigDL, Pure Savage, DJR and 1 other
Edge_Design Posted January 20, 2020 Share Hectic - they might not necessarily have been stolen at the same time or even in that area so a little more detail could help with finding the owners. It can't hurt to even post pics of the bikes - just tell the owners that they must provide proof of ownership before the bikes can be returned. piotter Posted January 20, 2020 Share Playing Devil's advocate here, but should also consider that they may have been buried by the former owners as part of insurance fraud. It's sad but it happens. Edit: Unfortunately to me that seems more likely than a thief burying them, unless of course it was to hide them for a while until the "heat wears off" FootballingCyclist, BigDL, Long Wheel Base and 1 other

Long Wheel Base Posted January 20, 2020 Share What TREK and SPEZ are they? FootballingCyclist Posted January 20, 2020 Share Owners may not be hubbers but fellow riding buddies may be? Perhaps post the pics as stated above and the owner/owners need to provide proof, ie, pics with their bikes, perhaps pics during an event even, or where there are certain marks etc.. As stated above may even be "insurance fraud",and if rightful owner is a hubber, They aren't going to be looking for their bike exactly. Pics would def help others perhaps identify the owner! Vetseun Posted January 21, 2020 Share What has happened with this bizarre story?Ja the suspense is killing me.Did the owners go to the trouble of buyring their bikes in the dead of night to lodge a false claim or not?It is just crazy to me that when something like this happens, some people have the immediate reaction that the owners are fraudsters. Unfortunately that's driven by the times we live in. I normally try not to assume that and I would love to be proved wrong and hear about happy owners being reunited with their trusty bicycles,
