Just like unprovoked cyclists will flip the bird to a car that has done nothing wrong too. The human condition is unfortunately one where we do not get along with those that are not in our tribe, and when the other tribe does something wrong - well then s**t really gets out of hand. If it were a cellphone it could very well have been a passenger, but again that image and more importantly lighting quality makes me think its a dashcam.
