Good Bike Shop in Somerset West?

Recommended Posts

Can anyone recommend a good bike shop in Somerset West?

We will be down from Durban for the CTCT this afternoon and urgently need a little niggle attended to tomorrow on one of our bikes.

Thete are a couple good bike shops. But don’t be surprised if they are full, so you might need to drive or around.

In town You can try Daryn at William's Bike shop, or Malan at Velo Life.

In the Mall area PedalWorx and the Specialized shop are close to each other.

Outside of town on the R44, The Hanger might have capacity, and In Gants Dirt Customs might be worth a phone call.

My bike goes to Daryn, but I'll recommended Malan and Al (Dirt Customs) at the drop of a hat.

Phone ahead.. CTCT will have mos shops rammed.

Popping in out the blue to sort out a niggle will disrupt the workshop flow and priority order.

Don't be 'that guy'......

Also try the bike shop in Thechno Park - I have not had major work done, they have been super helpful with the small things I went there for. (Called Techno Guide)

Williams in town is my go to.

it's obviously crazy time.

so phoning is a good idea, and just understand that you might need to be squeezed in or have an overnight job.

a sixpack could help find you some workshop time.

I know william's will accept beer.

Can't recommend Daryn at William's Bike Shop enough. I imagine they are fully booked with the CTCT but they're always accommodating and you'll get quality service

Daryn wont say no to black coffee or a sourdough loaf either...

All the options mentioned above are good.

I take my bike (MTB) to Malan from VeloLife - thumbs up all the way.

Phoning them in advance to check availability is a must.
