So today we kind of forgot about Wacky Wednesday - so to make up for it, we decided to be extra nice. Not only are we extending wacky wedneday into thumping thursday, Instead of just offering our Wacky Wedneday sale on one specific trip, we have decided to give you all a chance to book any of the remaining places, on any of our currently listed trips, at HALF PRICE. Thats right, any trip that still has places remaining is going at 50% off, but this offer is only valid till 17:00 tomorrow (Thurs 9 July)

Now, For our feature offering for this Wacky Wednesday, we would like to introduce our Escarpement Escape MTB trip. In partnership with Verlorenkloof Estate, this is the ultimate get away for Gauteng Based riders, and you will fail to find a better value for money riding trip anywhere in the country.

This trip will be run once a month, starting in August. We will do this trip the first weekend of every month, followed by a discounted mid-week trip the week thereafter. The midweek option is great for pensioners, or book it as a group for a corporate getaway.

We limit each departure to 8 guests, allowing us to maintain exclusivity, and offer a great expereince. The trip is fully catered, in luxury accomodation, with views to die for, and its only 2.5 hours drive from GP. There is ample to do when not on the bike to keep yourself or a non riding partner busy, including flyfishing, horseriding, archeology tours, birding and much much more.

The riding is a good mix of well maintained gravel, unmaintained jeep track, single track, cattle paths and so forth, and there is something for everyone.

Would love to do the Lesotho one but I think it's more XC / Marathon sort of riding? Enjoying the ups as well as the downs rather than suffering the ups because you're there for the downs.

Dirt Tracker, if I where you, I would say just do it. The only day that is really all about the ups, is the first day, the ride up to the border is a serious climb.

The full day of riding in Sethlabathebe National Park, is very much trail/enduro slanted, more than typical XC/Marathon. We start the day at the highest point in the reserve, and finish at the lowest..... Those crazy enough to want to then try ride back out are welcome, but any sane human will load the bike on the trailer at that point.

Matabeng pass is a big climb, but the descent is nearly twice as long km wise, and is what the ride is really all about.

Sani pass is down all the way.

Also, remember its an tour/adventure, and not a race. you ride what you want, and there is no penalty for choosing to use the shuttle for the climbs if you want. This trip is about having fun on bikes in an amazing environment. Book it, you will not be dissapointed.
