Brendan1734 Posted August 23, 2020 Share Hi Everyone. Could someone maybe shed some light on the Thule bike carriers. I’m looking at either the Thule Euroway or the Thule Euroride, anyone know the difference here? I have noticed according to their website they say it is not Carbon compatible? Anyone know why or who are using this carrier without issues.
LazyTrailRider Posted August 24, 2020 Share The EuroRide has slightly more basic features (it doesn't for example have foot tilt) than the EuroWay, but both are excellent quality racks. I've had a EuroWay G2 3-bike for around 6 years and have done more than 200 trips with it, with 6 or 7 different bikes across the spectrum of alloy and carbon. Lately, it does duty with an alloy e-bike and a carbon trail bike on most days. No issues, it's worth paying extra for. I think some of the higher-end models have a torque limiter on the clamp knobs, which is probably why they market it as carbon friendly. Don't stress though, the carbon configurations on most frames is plenty strong so unless you're the Terminator while tightening, you'll be fine with either rack. CAAD4 Posted August 24, 2020 Share Don't underestimate the usefulness of a tilt feature on a fully loaded bike rack. Pure Savage and LazyTrailRider
