I have seen this trail on trailforks

how technical is it as the site says its a blue trail, believe it a 2 way trail for hiker walkers and mtb?

so i will have to ride it from one point till the end and come back on the same route as it doesnt have a loop around

basis that, whats better place to start, from kloof road side?

or is this trail washed out?

It's mostly free flowing with a few technical sections, tough rocky lines. Two way trail shared with hikers, but you can't go too fast anyway or you'll die. Chunky tyres are useful.

Pats Track is the trail from Green Point to top of Signal Hill by the Kramat. I prefer going up Pats Track from Springbok Rd, then you can go around Lions Head (Clifton side) on the other trail (towards Top Rd). Then go back up Signal Hill Rd and do Belgian Waffle down into town.

I have 2.6 tyres front and back so that should help

It's wonderful. My favourite trail in CT, you can really bomb it down there. Couple places where you need to keep your wits about you, like keep momentum up when you really really wanna slow down, but it's an amaaaaaazing bit of singletrack that should be on everyone's bucket list. You NEED to let go of the brakes.

Going up it is a challenge and a half. Lovely technical climb.

So I'm taking u start from lions head side and end in greenpoint, basis you sayin u bomb it down

Seems the longer downhill is down towards greenpoint

Depending if you driving to the start or not, perhaps start at bottom of pats track, ride up it, do the lions head loop, try the granite trail (slick rock on strava) and then bomb down pats!

Think will do this, long hard climbs deserves atleast one good descent.

Thanks gents
