Event Name: Ride Paarl - Langebaan
When: 13 December 2020
Where: Cycle4life, Paarl, Western Cape
Category: Road

The Cycle4life annual Xmas ride to Langebaan takes place on December 13h. This is NOT a race its a ride. We meet at Cycle4Life at 5:30 am and we start riding at 6:00. The 150km ride to Pearly’s in Langebaan is a charity related ride. The pace will be easy, we are aiming to do the trip in about 6hrs. We will have support vehicles on the road, for nutrition and emergencies. We have planned 2 stops, one in Malmsbury and one in Hopefield where we supply energy drinks and water, but you are of course free to drop your own nutrition in the support car. If you don’t want to cycle back just arrange for someone to pick you up at the finish. In Langebaan we will have a lunch after all riders have arrived.

Groups: we will have 3 different groups, riding a different pace.

-Easy group: pace +/- 22-25 km/h, depending on the wind. This group will have 2 water stops, Malmsbury and Hopefield.

-Intermediate group: pace 25-29 km/h. This group will also have 2 water stops

-Fast group: Pace 30+ km/h. No planned stops for this group, just 150km of fast riding (don’t forget to fill up your bottles!).

Relay: you are more than welcome, to just ride a part of the ride or take turns with another rider. Please let us know in advance if you need transport, as we have limited space in our support car. Of course you are welcome to arrange this yourself.
